ZENYATTA, CUP GOLDIKOVA peternak TOP 'PRA-ENTRIES

CONTINUING her quest for perfection in the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic, the undefeated Zenyatta (photo) leads the list of a record 184 horses pre-entered, 26 from overseas, for the 2010 Breeders’ Cup World Championships Nov. 5-6, at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. A total of 14 Cup races will be run over the two days, with aggregate purses of $26 million.
In perhaps the most dramatic moment in Breeders’ Cup history, Zenyatta came from last to first to win the 2009 Breeders’ Cup Classic, becoming the first female to capture the race, and the first horse to win two different Breeders’ Cup races. (In 2008, she was the winner of the Ladies’ Classic.) She is scheduled to fly from California to Louisville Tuesday to begin final preparations for her quest for racing immortality.
Zenyatta is not the only superstar shooting for an unprecedented third consecutive Breeders’ Cup win on Nov. 6. Alain and Gerard Wertheimer’s 5-year-old Goldikova is seeking her third consecutive $2 million TVG Breeders’ Cup Mile on turf, leading the charge of overseas participants in this year’s Breeders’ Cup. In 2009, European horses won six Breeders’ Cup races. - NTRA.

2010 election results | vote

Tracking the 2010 vote results
The 2010 election results could be called as early as within the hour the polls close. Exit polls are used to predict results, but they can be notoriously difficult to verify. Absentee ballots or mail-in ballots could take a few days after election day 2010 to fully count, but races with a clear winner could still be called earlier than that.
Where to track 2010 election results
The election results for the 2010 vote will be tracked live on several different sites. To track governors races as well as house and senate results, Politico has a regularly updated map. To follow the results of propositions and initiatives, Ballotpedia has a comprehensive list of each state. Until results have been certified by each state, the results can be disputed in almost every state.
Problems with 2010 election results
Though voting for election day 2010 is not yet over, there are already some challenges to the results. In Kansas, prosecutors are looking into allegations of voter intimidation, including incorrect information of where to cast a vote. In New York City, electronic voting machines are causing problems that are reminiscent of September’s “royal screw-up.” In Philadelphia, poll workers had to use a sledgehammer to open a polling place after the key did not work. Rhode Island is turning away voters because of malfunctioning machines. Missouri is having “connectivity issues” with the secretary of state website. Finally, North Carolina’s Surry County ended up printing out the wrong voter registries.
What are you watching for in the 2010 election results? Did you have problems voting?

Exit Polls 2010 Election |Where Is The Exit Polling

as was reported yesterday ,the polls will close on the east coast in a couple of hours and exit polls will soon start to project the winner of various 2010 elections. There is a lot at stake in this years elections where Republicans are slated to gain control of the House and possibly the Senate. Also weighing heavily on the outcome of this election is 37 races for Governor which is also considered important since the Census results will cause redistricting over the next couple og years and the Governor will have a lot to do with it. Many News organizations will start to call races based on exit polls before any actual results are in. While exit polls can predict the winner of an election this is not good practice as they can be misleading. Exit polls should be used as a judgment in the sentiment of the mood of the people, not to predict what the final result should be, but in this time of the fastest news wins, people will sometimes use the Exit polls results in a manner to get the jump on their competition. Exit Polls may predict correctly at times, but its best to at least wait until some results are coming in before race are called.

The entourage, who said Calcutt increased to 94, usually attracts about 30 to 40 months. Tuesday night, they broke bread during happy hour and special meals at the House of Ruth’s Chris Steak inMyrtle Beach , and theater, about 35 women divided between “Secretariat” and the drama of the CIA “Red”. fly Texas Tornado

the story originated from an amateur video filmed by Eric Myers cried “We are in the tornado!” while he was taking incredible video of the Northeast Texas tornado that destroyed at least five homes, and caused four people to go to the hospital. You have to check out this video. it’s one of the best tornado videos ever!

There were train cars knocked off their tracks while one hundred mile an hour winds struck the sides of the cars.

Rice, Texas got the dubious honor of being in the video Myers took, because of the devastation the twister caused, but the video is indeed compelling to say the least.

The video is one of the most up close and personal views of a tornado ever taped. Eric Myers is the county’s emergency management coordinator, and he was at the scene of the tornado as it was happening.

He videotaped the cyclone as it was tearing the roof off of a local school approximately a block away from his location.

The twister had winds of 125 miles per hour, and made a seven mile journey before it finally receded back into the clouds above.which has been long enough to fly texas and all who are in.

Candle kringle historical beginnings and successful figures behind

Kittredge Kittredge II

Story started when Michael Kittredge III was 8 years old, he was disappointed after his father, the  founder of Yankee Candle Co., sold the Deerfield business, because he wanted to run the company one day.

But, that hasn't stopped the now 20-year-old from following in his father's footsteps, as he is now the president of Kringle Candle Co., which had its grand opening Saturday.

Kringle Candle, at 220 South St., has brought new jobs and will possibly bring additional tourist business to town.

The younger Kittredge's father grew a homegrown candle venture into the largest employer in the county with international sales. Michael Kittredge II, who is no longer connected to Yankee Candle, has been collaborating closely with his son on the new venture.

On Saturday, there was a ribbon cutting at the new 10,000-square-foot store on Route 5, and Congressman John Olver was to have been in attendance.

According to the younger Kittredge, the candle company has already hired nearly 50 people to work at the new facility.

"Around 95 percent of them are people from Bernardston and surrounding towns.

"It's a pretty good mix, actually. Thirteen to 15 of them work in the retail store, others work in production and the rest work in the office doing various jobs," he said.

The younger Kittredge said the idea for Kringle came from a school project that he was working on at Greenfield Community College about two years ago.

He said, for one of his marketing classes, he was asked to take an existing product or create a new product and come up with a business and marketing plan.

Kittredge chose candles and made some of his own in his basement. He said his father offered advice while doing the project. For his final examination, he sold about 300 candles at Jackson & Connor in Northampton.

Buyers liked the product, so it got him thinking that there was a market for his candles.

Father and son were on a car ride when they passed the old GBI Marketing building and decided to look at that for a possible location for the company.

Now, the rest is history.

He said he started making candles when he was young at Yankee Candle. But, he said he really learned how to make candles during the testing phase that he did in his basement. He said he experimented with many different kinds of wicks, wax blends and learned everything he could about the candle industry.

He said that much of his knowledge around candle making was self-taught. He said the candle industry has changed a lot since his father was making candles. There are new wax blends, new pouring machines and new wick technology.

In addition to the retail space, Kittredge said, the building has around 11,000 square feet of factory space where the scented candles are produced in closed vats so that the perfumes do not leak out.

Kringle has also bought property across the street from the Routes 5 and 10 factory, including the building that was once Aldo's Harley-Davidson, that it plans to use as a storage and shipping facility, if they receive the proper permits from the town.

If the planning stages go well, and the town boards allow it, Kittredge said that at some time in the future, he would like to open a small cafe to go along with the candle business.

According to Kittredge, the 128-acre farm on Cross Street that they bought in June for $1 million will allow them to use the agricultural property as an organic farm to grow produce and possibly livestock for use in the proposed restaurant.

"If the town allows us to have a restaurant, we would like to use locally grown organic produce and maybe have a couple of cows," he said.

The candle company president said that they are beginning sales with a line of 36 fragrances for their candles. "We also have a wide selection of home decor and holiday items available in the store," Kittredge said.

The younger Kittredge says that they settled on Bernardston as a location because the factory space that they found is in a "friendly, small-town setting" close to the highway and in a place where he will be able to talk with his customers on a daily basis and get a better idea for what products they actually want. to find new ideas to be developed at his company.
